Climbing....

We climb everywhere! My little monkeys are into everything. I can handle it, really I can. :0)

When they first started climbing on the couch I thought, 'OMG, I am going to have a heart attach' but that is nothing now. They climb on the kitchen chairs, on the coffee table, on the end tables, they even try to climb on my bed. I know this is what they do and its great that they are, but now Brody has climbed out of his crib! I don't know what to do now. I do not want to spend the money on a crib tent. I know that is what I need to do, but he will only use it for a couple of months, right? So what did my mom do before crib tents were invented? Did she just let me fall?

So during the day they are pretty much free to roam the house because I hate putting them in a "cage". I have pretty much given the house to the babies. I have childproofed the living room, dining room, and the extra bedroom. I just close the doors to the other rooms and let them go. I have forgotten to close the bathroom door once or twice and always find Brody in the toilet so I have gotten a lot better about closing doors behind me. I made the extra bedroom into a play room, but if I gate them in there then they hate it and all they do is scream so I don't use it like I intended on using it. I have a play yard, but its only been set up like its suppose to be used a couple of times. My point is that I am sucker..... these babies have me wrapped around their tiny little fingers. You will probably see me on super nanny in the future, lol :)

We moved our boys to their toddler beds pretty early because of the climbing out of the cribs. They had no problems with the change. They were both between the ages of 15 and 18 months.

I am glad you are posting agin.

Just wait until the learn to climb into those wonderful space saver high chairs by themselves. My little ones do it on the counter height chairs that my table uses, and have then been catapulting (sp?) onto the table. It is so wonderful that they are doing SO WELL!!!!

Forgot to Add: Get the cribtents and save your sanity. My girls love their crib tents and honestly, without them they would be partying like its 1999. I am now to the point that I am gonna keep them in their cribs as long as humanly possible (college would be a good time to transistion to beds, right?), and then I am just gonna go to a real bed and skip the toddler bed.

They just get cuter every day! I was kept busy enough running after one, I can't imagine 3 at one time! Girl, I have to hand it to you, whether they have you wrapped or not, you're amazing! I miss you guys, and can't wait till I can see the little monkeys again. Give them all a big kiss from me.
