Happy Father's Day

There are some things that daddy's teach our kids and there is really nothing us mommies can do about it. Brandon is the most wonderful daddy in the world, and I am so lucky to have him as a partner in this parenting journey. But the luckiest people are our three little angels because they couldn't hand pick a better daddy than the one they have.

This father's day I am going to share a private story of ours. Brandon wouldn't care if I shared this, but it's a little embarrassing for me :) Brandon thinks tooting is very funny, and sometimes I can't help myself from laughing also, but I have been trying to get them to say "excuse me" after they burp or toot. When I went to Reno Brandon started making a tooting sound with his mouth and then saying "Savannah" or "Brody" or "Cheyenne" and then they would all laugh. Well of course when I got home I became a part of this joke by it always being me who daddy would blame the tooting on. Savannah is a fast learner and she put her lessons in effect the other day when we were hanging out. This is what it sounds like :)

Yes, that is Daddy laughing in the back ground. He was pretty proud of his work :)

Daddy, we love you and hope you have a very special day!

Love,

Savannah, Cheyenne, and Brody

Bowling and a Tattoo

One constant that I have always had is bowling. I look forward to bowling night, and I enjoy every minute of it. I bowl on Tuesday nights in a league with some of the best friends I have ever made.

Before I had the trio Brandon and I use to bowl in a couple of leagues a week and we would go and bowl often during the week. Now I bowl one night a week and I NEVER get to go "practice".

Well this year I went to Reno, NV to bowl in the women's national tournament. It was very exciting and I had a lot of fun. I bowled terrible, but it was an experience that I loved. The best part about it was that my mom and dad went with me. My family is extremely close and when my parents moved to California it broke my heart. So when I had to oppurtunity to go spend the weekend with them I jumped. I flew into Sacramento and my parents picked me up in their motor home and we drove to Reno. We gambled, drank, talked, had a really expensive lobster dinner, and got a tattoo. That's right my mom and I got matching butterfly tattoos. We didn't plan it, we didn't even really think we would go through with it, but we did. Now my mom and I have a butterfly tattoo on our ankles that look exactly alike. Never in my life did I think I would see the day that my mom got a tattoo. It was amazing a time that will never be forgotten.

It's been too long....

Since it has been a couple of months since I last posted we will start with some of the newer pictures. I take a million pictures so it is really hard to figure out which ones to post. I could post all of them but it would take forever and I'm really the only one who won't delete the picture of Brody's hand in the camera ;)

The pictures are not in order so I will explain each one.

This first picture was Mother's Day weekend when we got to Gammy and Grandpa's house. Grandpa made them fruit smoothies and they where enjoying every bit (that made it in their mouths).

The following three pictures are from their second birthday. Can you believe that I didn't even post on their birthday??? Well we just had a small bbq with some friends and family. We had a blast!

Brody Vance - May 3rd 2009

Savannah Raye - May 3rd 2009

Cheyenne Dawn - May 3rd 2009

Gammy and Grandpa live in Alamogordo which is about a three hour drive and we have made that trip a few times with the trio. The do pretty good in the car for 2 year olds. Thank God for the TVs in cars. They love to watch tv while we are driving. Their favorite movie right now is Kung Fu Panda so Daddy and I can pretty much quote the entire movie :)
Sleeping in the truck is a different story..... we don't have much luck with that. We always try to travel pretty close to nap time so the kids will sleep on the way. It has pretty much back fired on us each and every time, but we keep trying. There must be a better way. Hasn't someone invented a pillow or something for car seats so their heads won't fall forward???

Cheyenne is Miss Animal Planet. She loves all and every animal. This is what I cut her down to to travel to Grammy's house. Her crib is over flowing with stuffed animals, and she would have more if we would let her.

Sometimes we get lucky and these sibling actually get along. It actually happens a lot, but you seem to forget easier than all the fights. This is the most beautiful picture to me :)

Brody, Savannah, and Cheyenne on Mother's day. It is so hard to get pictures of them all together these days so it's a treasure when we capture a good one.

Header????

I really want a header for my blog!! Why can I not figure it out???? I am trying to re do some things on my layout, but I am back and ready to blog!

Is spring here yet?

Hi! I know, I know.... it has been forever since I've updated.

We are ready for spring or summer which ever gets here first. We had a week of good weather before it got cold again so we got a little taste of outdoors. Hopefully it won't be much longer where we can just spend the whole day playing outside.

So here is what I am thinking about today. This past weekend we went to buy the kids some spring clothes and I realized how much bigger Brody is. The girls wear a size 4 shoe whereas Monster Brody wears a size 8 wide. Yeah we can't go to Walmart or Target for his big feet. I have found that Nike, New Balance, and DCs work the best for him.

Can you tell the difference????

My mom visited last week and we took some pictures so I thought I would share them. My grandparents were here a couple of days and I want to be sure to have some pictures of them with the kids on here. I think it is awesome that they are still around and healthy enough to get to know and enjoy their great-grand kids :)

My Sister, My Best Friend

My sister, Amber, is the most wonderful person I know. She and I have been sisters my whole life, and we've been best friends for that long to (we just didn't always know it.) She has been the greatest second mommy to my triplets, and she has wanted a baby of her own for years. On Monday, Febuary 23, 2009 she became a mommy at 12:59pm. Her little man, Justin Dean (JD), weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. She is going to be a great Mommy, and Larry is going to be a wonderful Daddy.

Congratulations Sis!!!! I love you more than words could ever describe, and I am so proud to be your sister.

Larry, I couldn't have asked for a better brother in law than you. You are such a great man for my sister, and JD couldn't have gotten a better Daddy!! I love you!

My precious little Justin, I am so excited to be your Auntie and so very happy that you are in our family, and I know that you have made the sun shine brighter for your parents. You are a very loved little boy, and I can't wait to get to know you, and give you tons and tons of hugs and kisses. Your cousins are looking forward to meeting you, too. We love you and welcome to the world!!!

Eating Time

Feeding time has always been an adventure around here, but I thought it would get easier. I WAS WRONG. Breakfast, lunch, snack time, and dinner are all the same around here, "don't throw your food to the dogs," "don't put your plate on your head," "don't steal you sister's food," "eat your food don't play with it," "get your feet off the table," and "stop picking your nose and trying to give me your boogers and eat your food!"

We eat 4 times a day at the table so this seems like it happens all day long, and it is driving me crazy!

Maybe I put them up to the table to soon, but I think they are big enough and old enough to eat at the table. Clean up is not so much fun, lol.

21 Months Old

Sometimes I just think I am going to stop blogging all together because I can't seem to keep up. But then I remember that I am doing this for my babies and not for me or whoever may still check in every once in awhile.

Tomorrow Savannah, Cheyenne, and Brody will be 21 months old. I can't believe we are already thinking about what we are going to do for the 2nd birthday. They are such wonderful kiddos and I am the luckiest mommy in the world.

Brody has become a huge mommy's boy. He wants me all the time and even if he doesn't want me he doesn't want his sisters to have any mommy time. He throws the biggest fits of the bunch and he is the biggest bully. He wants the toy that Savannah has at all times and if he can't steal Savannah's he will go for Cheyenne's. He has also become my biggest cuddle bug. He will wrap every part of his body around mine and just squeeze, I love it.

Cheyenne is gaining more independence every single day. Do you remember when this little girl refused to crawl and wouldn't have a thing to do with anyone but mommy and daddy? Well now she is on the go and she loves playing with her Bubba and Sister. She loves to talk and she pronounces everything she tries to say so well. She doesn't really attempt words that she doesn't think she can say, but she has so much fun scream "MOMMY" "DADDY" over and over and over again. Her personality has evolved so much in the last couple of months. She's a dancer! She dances all the time and sings along with every song that comes on. They all dance together and hold hands, its so freakin cute. I will have to get it on video so I can show it to the world. Oh and Cheyenne started doing happy feet. She will do it all day if I ask her to. I have that on video but I don't know how to download it to this computer.

Savannah is my character. This little monkey makes the funniest faces and gestures that make me laugh so hard I cry. She eats like she's the size of Brody, but she has gained less than 2lbs in the past 4 months. She is the one with a security blanket that she most have at all times. I was hoping she would take one of the blankets a loved one made for her, but she loves her crib blanket. Luckily I have 3 of the same blanket so I can switch them out to wash them, lol.

We are all ready for the winter to be over so we can get out of this house. They fight A LOT and there are many days I want hide under my pillow and cry, but we are all healthy and for the most part hart :)

Here's some pictures.......
