Update on the Babies

I have really been slacking on my blogging, worse than usual. Oh well, I write when I can and am willing and I just haven't felt like it lately. I have been pretty busy chasing after my 1 year olds. I can't believe they are ONE. Everyone is doing awesome.

Savannah is still made for speed. That girl crawls so fast its unbelievable. She is trying to pull up to standing, but she gets stuck. She will get there soon. She is really loving eating table foods. She eats better than she ever has before. She has a blood blister on her gum and its getting ready to pop so you could imagine the pain she is in. She has been unusually grumpy and I really think it is the tooth coming in under that blood blister, my poor little girl. She is still a pretty happy little girl most of the time.

Cheyenne is still not moving much. She loves to sit on her Elmo chair and dance. She loves music and she will dance to anything with a beat. Brandon works with her constantly and she is doing much better at being on her tummy. She is using a walker and she can move around that way, but I don't put her in it very often because I want her to crawl. She loves to stand and she can pull herself up if we put her right next to something she can pull up on. She may skip crawling all together and go directly to walking. She is our pickiest eater. She doesn't like much of anything besides toast. This little girl could eat toast for every meal.

Brody, my littler terror, is doing wonderful. He is crawling and pulling himself up to standing. He loves playing in his walker and he is, for the most part, just a happy little boy. He likes to bug his sisters ans he always steals their toys and wants anything they have. He will steal one of their toys and they usually will just find something else to play with, but if they do steal the toy back he throws the biggest fit. He is such a mommy's boy and when he wants me to pick him up he is the most demanding of all. He's not big on the table foods, not that he doesn't like table foods he just doesn't like to feed himself. He's has always been my best eater, but he wants to be fed. He can feed himself but he prefers to just open his mouth and let mommy and daddy do all the work. We are still in the process of switching him to whole milk, but the pediatrician told me that he didn't need to drink more than 28 ounces of whole milk a day. Well he needs more than that until he starts eating his solids better. One day at a time.

Everyday is a special and exciting day around here. Everyday I thank God for giving me these precious gems. Everyday I get choked up because I am so in love with each one of these amazing babies.

I have been almost as bad with the camera as I have been with blogging so I don't have any pictures to share at this time. I have a few pictures on my camera but my desktop computer isn't up right now and I can't download them to my laptop. I will post some pictures as soon as I can.

Sounds like things are progressing just as they should. You and Brandon will always be challenged by daily situations involving 3 individual personalities. Your work is definitely cut out for you - but I know you guys, and you will handle it joyfully and with great perserverance! Hugs to all of you! ....Lauri

I love that you realize you have 3 separate babies with 3 separate personalities and don't just lump them altogether as one and expect the same from them. You guys are so patient and intuitive about what your babies/almost toddlers need. Be sure to be as patient with yourselves and if at all possible, allow some special time just for the two of you.
